Setting up your trading account
Here at Foodstuffs, we are proud to have a trading relationship with more than 3,500 product suppliers. When you become an approved supplier you join our community as part of New Zealand’s largest grocery organisation. Foodstuffs operates two separate regional co-operatives, and you can choose to apply to trade with each company, or if your product has nationwide scope, apply to trade with both Foodstuffs North Island and Foodstuffs South Island.
This means you can sell your products to any Foodstuffs store, including New World, PAK'nSAVE, and Four Square. These national brands are operated regionally by each co-operative. In addition, Foodstuffs North Island operates Gilmours Wholesale Cash n Carry, and Foodstuffs South Island operates Raeward Fresh, On the Spot, and Trent’s Wholesale.
On accepting our terms of trade for each region, and agreeing to meet our trading requirements, (which includes all legislative and compliance aspects of doing business in New Zealand), the first steps to opening a trading account with us are complete.
The FSSI Vendor Onboarding Process is as below:
If you’re looking to export to New Zealand, and you don’t have a local office or agent, just contact us with details of your product offering and your company's credentials. We will then let you know whether we are interested in taking those exciting next steps. Keep in mind that imported goods must comply with all the relevant New Zealand regulations and trade requirements.
